Painting the Human Condition
I believe that nothing essential has changed.
We live in a time that feels urgent, fractured, overwhelmed by events and images. But every age has believed itself to be the most turbulent.
What matters is not the event itself, but the human condition it reveals.
Violence does not create tragedy.It exposes it.
For this reason, I do not paint events. I do not document, illustrate, or report. I am not interested in recreating what is already visible.
I paint what it feels like to exist in their presence.
Fear without a clear source.
Silence that presses in.
Inevitability that cannot be reasoned away.

Instead, I aim to create moments of confrontation - where the viewer is asked to stand still and face something they cannot easily name, but unmistakably recognise.
We are surrounded by endless images, constant reaction, and noise.
My task is not to contribute to that flow, but to interrupt it.
To create something that cannot be consumed quickly.
Something that asks for time.
Something that resists.
If, even for a moment, the viewer feels less alone in what they carry -
then the work has done enough.
Process
My work moves between control and release.
Through my Force-Release Method, I begin with deliberate, physical mark-making - building structured, contained surfaces. In some works, I stop there. The painting remains calm, restrained, holding its tension.
In others, I continue. I disrupt the surface - pouring, dissolving, erasing. What was controlled begins to break. Traces and fractures emerge, revealing what could not be planned.
These two states exist in dialogue: One holds itself together. The other reveals what lies beneath. Together, they reflect something essential - the tension between composure and what inevitably breaks through.
